Bloodmaster and Skullmaster aren't the only types of heralds. There are many more like sacred Executioners and Rendmasters, for instance.
In the tabletop game, a Blade of Blood deals more damage compared to normal Hellblades. From a lore perspective, I don't know what the difference is. The codex just says, "and their hellblade, having leeched a measure of this new strength, becomes known henceforth as a blade of blood." and that's it. Well, gotta be an upgraded version, right? We've all played RPGs before. We know where it goes.
