Clarification for anyone that may be confused by the second panel of the first page: The Adeptus Custodes has no "juniors" or "seniors" in the sense of hierarchial ranks, but individual Custodians do recognize each other's level of experience, both in a general sense and with respect to the immediate task at hand, hence why the position of "Shield-Captain" can change even within the same set of Custodians from one assignment to another. They're essentially a perfect meritocracy.
